Green Little Beans Clothing Care Instructions

Clothing Care Instructions

All Green Little Beans garments are made and embellished by hand. Because it is hand made, there may be slight imperfections and differences between each garment. Both these little flaw’s and differences are characteristic of being done individually by hand. There are not to be considered as faults. Special care should be taken, to avoid rubbing against surfaces that may damage this delicate embellishment. Garment Care: A Baby’s skin is soft, delicate and very sensitive, and great care should be taken in the laundering of their clothes.

Washing: Natural fibers such wool, cotton or silk are usually better washed by hand, and in pure soap. When washing this garment, handle it carefully. There should be enough water to cover the garment completely and the soap should be thoroughly dissolved before immersing it. For best results, dry clean or, hand-wash in cold water, with mild detergent. Rinsing: Squeeze our excess water, never wing it out. Rinse thoroughly, until every trace of soap is removed, as any left in will matt the fibers and may irritate the baby’s skin. Use at least two changes of water or continue until water is clear and without bubbles. Drying: Squeeze the garment between towels or fold in a towel and gently spin. Do not hang wet knitting up, as the weight of the water will stretch it out of shape. To dry, lay the garment flat on top of a towel, or an old terry nappy (diaper) which will absorb some of the moisture. Ease the garment into shape. Dry away from direct heat and leave flat until completely dry. Pressing: When the garment is dry, ease into shape. Most fibers only require a little steam, and the iron should be applied gently. Alternatively, press with a damp cloth between the garment and the iron. Removing stains: Stains are a fact of life in bringing up baby. Most stains that are likely to affect a baby’s clothing are to do with food. The best solution with any stain is to remove the garment while the stain is still wet and soak it thoroughly in cold, not hot, water. Failing that use a proprietary stain remover.

We hope you enjoy our products. We made every piece with love and it is designed to enjoy those cherished baby moments, and celebrate the arrival of a new born!
